La Wknd / Orange Sick / Visitors :)

Been a very eventful week, or however long it's been since I lost wrote. Been rather busy with ACM and stuff but thats pretty much the same every week so i'll focus on the events of the weekend and beyond up until present day :)

On Saturday night Natasha came over for dinner, felt like we were in a hotel by the way my dad was bringing over our food and topping up Natasha's wine glass. Had a dashing meal and then shot over to Aaron's house where he was having a little Halloween get together thing. Was so nice to see everyone, although as I drove I couldn't catch up with the others on the alcohol front. Matthew Oliver in particular was extremely happy to see me which I believe to be about 80% down to the alcohol, but yeah everyone was there and was great :)

I decided to travel home on Sunday rather than semi-rush on Monday morning, although I don't start ACM until 1:30, part timer :) Dean had planned to come and stay for a couple of days on Monday as he was off on reading week but as he wasn't doing anything either we both jetted it down to the G.

Monday night was very eventful. Dean stayed at the house like a loser while I went to ACM. That night we cooked a BEAST, and i mean a BEAST of a Stir Fry, was so pengggg. Although someone forgot to thank me for cooking it...Hmmm. Continued the night with drinking and general banter. At one point, Me Dean & Rich just sat in my room and had such a good chat, it was so nice. Pot of Destiny guys ;)

I woke up fine as always while Dean-Tizer woke up and immediately stumbled showing his lack of being able to handle a night of drinking, gutted at him. I might be a severe lightweight (although I am getting better...although this will come up again later on in this post!) but at least I never get hang overs :) Dean then came into my ACM Business lecture with me, was so funny. We made up a story just incase anyone asked him, some cheesy name and that he played guitar, was so funny.

So after Danger-Dean went home I thought I would have a nice relaxing night to myself, as Natasha was coming down to stay on Wednesday night :) But alas that plan quickly went out the window after a rehearsal from 6-8pm turned into a drinking marathon at Spoonies. What I thought was going to be one drink with the band turned into a horrible horrible night. To cut the story short we stayed until closing, with is a long time considering we got there at 8 :| So there I was stumbling home in the early hours, WEARING A TEESHIRT....I felt like I had teleported to the Arctic Circle, there was snow building up on the cars I tell you!

Now going back to how im getting alot better at handling my drink? Well, everything was fine until I got home and decided I was a bit pecky so I had one of those Chicago microwave pizza things, which are bufffffffffff. Next thing I knew I was scrambling in my room, pitch black throwing up into my hands while I attempted to run to the light and then run BACK to my window. Doesn't help that the window was locked so the hole thing got VERY MESSY, and im talking sick everywhere. Up the walls, on the carpet, on my duvet, a little splatter on my Mac! It was revolting....AND ORANGE. So all in all this process repeated around 3/4 times, by the end of it i'd resulted to just leaving the light on in preperation for the next splurge of vommit.

That night really depressed me, as I had to miss ACM the next day in order to recooperate and clear up the orange pools of sick which occupied several places in my room. Annoying that I got so ill over drinks that I didnt REALLY want/plan to have. So from now on mid-week drinks shall be dummed down I rekon. Ace.

I wrapped up warm and paced it into G town, although apparently I wasn't fast enough as Natasha was texting me to "RUN" as she had been waiting for a whole minute! oh jeeeees. Was so great to see her. We had a lovely walk around Guildford looking at all the nice shops, most of which I didn't even know existed, as I haven't actually spent the day looking around yet! We went into a Pret and had hot chocolate/tea while I tested the bean on her driving theory, awww. Finished of walking around then strolled back home, put our bags down and went straight back out to Tesco! Its very tiring stuff.

My cooking skills have improved amazingly since moving out, and I love it when Natasha comes cos we always pick something buff to make...I say we...she decides and I cook like a mug while she takes a shower :( hahaa. We had chicken lightly dabbled with soy sauce, served with pasta in a tomatoe/olive sauce. Was so niceeeeee.

I managed to get some weed off Stacey, but being retarded I had to pay extra to get it rolled for me. haha. Me Natasha and Rich sat up in his room, sparked up and drank booze. I got the right giggles, was hilarious. Richard popped off downstairs only to come back with 3 plates of toffee cheesecake, OH GOODY :) was so nice. 3 "spliffs" later and i'd gone from a giggling kid to a dozed out wanker. Just sitting there hanging my head feeling like I was floating.

The next thing I remember was waking up in bed with Natasha, neither of us knew how on earth we got there! haha. Everyone had gone to bed and all the lights were off, how confusing! It was 2am mind you....So yeah had an awsome night full of laughter, pictures, drink and weed :) Had a nice lay in till around 11'ish and took Natasha down to the station as she had a meeting for work, came home...showered and went to ACM. Now im wrapped up in a hoodie and dressing gown as we can't afford to turn the heating on!

Peace and love x

Whiskey / STRESS / & A Very Expensive Steak.

So Richard had fucked off back to Upminster, leaving Me and Matt at the house. I got in from ACM and just decided to do a bit of practice on the old drum pads. Ended up spending around 3 hours on them until Matt finally got home...He then accused me of running onto them as soon as I heard him coming, and didn't do any practice at all. POFF.

So Me & Matt chilled out for a bit, had dinner, a VERY TYPICAL chicken kiev dish and then continued to blaze music as we took turns practicing...I think we finished around the 1am mark, I bet the neighbours LOVE US. mwahahaha. All in all it was a very enjoyable night actually, was good to just chill out, drink some beer and have a good practice.

Saturday was rather lazy, in the morning anyway...Matts parents came down to visit as they were in the area but Matt was swayed and went home with them! Arghhh in the house by myself, which I guess was nice, but very quiet. I said to him it was cool for him to go back cos I was going out that night anyway.

And thats what I did. Left hear around 4:30 and strolled down to the station, which im getting pretty used to doing now...sigh, its so long. Went to Green Park to meet Natasha from work, what a lovely place! I recognised it when I got there, near Buckingham Palace/Oxford Street/The Ritz. We'd booked a table in a lovely French restaurant on Mayfair, although Natasha didn't know where it was! LUCKILY my iPhone found us the way :) I made her apologise. and she says she KNOWS London...HA!

Our table was booked for like 6:45 BARE EARLY...walking past the restaurant there was NO1 in there, how embarassing. We had some time to spare so we had a look around the bars/restaurants, such a nice area. Walked back to the restaurant, still empty but oh well, we went in :) I was swayed by the "steak special" so I ordered that with french onion soup to start (bufffffff). Natasha went for garlic prawns and salmon, also buff. Natasha made me peel her prawns for her (bless) and scoffed them before I could try one! how rude! haha. Im glad I burnt my fingers for nothing. haha.

The steak was SO BUFF. It annoyed me though that we paid alot of money for the food and it literally came with nothing...well mine did cos it was a special but Natasha literally got just a piece of salmon! Luckily we had ordered some spinach on the side ;) Seriously best steak I have ever had. Got the bill....almost had a heart-attack. Not only had I blown my entire weeks food budget on one meal...but the steak alone...was £25! Can you believe that. There so damn lucky it was the nicest ever.

On we went to Cacoon, a retro chinese bar/restaurant. Extremely cool with tonnes of city rich men. Felt a BIT silly walking in with a polo teeshirt and ripped jeans! Was wayyyyy to busy so Natasha led the way to The Polo Bar. Again, a very swanky place which was much more relaxed so that was nice. Shame the piano player wasn't playing, that would of made it to be honest. I felt like a prat if I ordered a beer, so I went for a Whiskey! £8 of VERY VERY strong stuff. It was so nice though to just chill out in somewhere with a bit of class...although the large man sat by himself on the table next to us was VERY off-putting. Perverted in fact. He just sat there with this massive meal (which he didn't even touch!?!?) while listening to his iPod! What a freak...

NOW COMES THE TRAUMA

We left the bar as it was getting late, I had to get back to Guildford and Natasha had to get back to Romford. So we said goodbye at a station that I cant remember the name off and both waited for our seperate trains. OH MY GOD, my house keys were in her bag! Now remember...Matt AND Rich had gone home, so I had NO WAY of getting into the house. Being Underground I couldn't call her so I ran upstairs and tried to call her...45 MISSED CALLS later I decided that I had to make a decision. Guildford or Upminster...It was either freeze my ass off and sleep outside until MONDAY MORNING or come home. So i opted for Upminster. Also adding to the problem, alot of the lines had engineering works, typical really so it was made it ultra hard to get home. After running for several trains I finally made it home. VERY STRESSFUL. The funny thing was...Me and Natasha had even JOKED about it in the restaurant..

"Oh my God, can you imagine if I left my keys in your bag...I'd have to sleep outside or something!"

And look what happened. Typical me.

So after meeting Natasha in the morning to retrieve my keys, we both had a good ol chuckle about the whole thing and we both travelled up into London as she was going to work. Several trains later, i'm finally home :) YAYYYY. What a mission. Back in this house, all alone. So I think i'll just relax and watch a movie tonight. FUN TIMES. x

Major Drummage Anyone?

Been having a good week so far. Last night is the main focus though. So at ACM im being taught by some of the top professionals in the business. The Drum tutors had decided to put on a special one-off event at the Boilerooom (a music venue/pub) where they would play with other tutors. At only £2 to get in, it had to be done.

Me & Rich bowled it done there, Matt stayed at home due to being "tired" which is a real shame seeing as it was such a good oppertunity...to see the guys that teach us every day finally perform in a proper live situation. All I can say, is that it was amazing. Absolutely surreal, and I was I had taken my camera.

Being hardcore Jazz Fusion fans Me & Rich immediately picked up some of the tunes they were blazing out, and to think they hadn't even rehearsed, amazing. So there we both were, all surrounded by other drummers in this tiny pub listening to some top class musicians. Drums/Keys/Guitar & Bass. The tutors seemed to side with the jazz fusion kind of things, with some elements of funk popping through, really made me appreciate the genre and the complexity of some of the things they were playing. Chicken, Chameleon & Caravan were all in the set-list, so today i've been downloading several Jazz fusion albums :)

We got quite drunk considering we were there to watch, so after bum licking the tutors for a bit we walked back and got ourselves a nice kebab :) mmmmmmm. Rich had made me download Pulp Fiction, I know its crazy that ive never seen it in full before. So we wacked that on and I must say I extremely enjoyed it.

I WILL BE AS GOOD AS MY TUTORS ONE DAY.

Weekend @ Home

Had a lovely weekend back in jolly ol' Essex. The whole purpose was to get a haircut, which sounds pathetic seeing as I could just as easily get it cut by Richard, although I don't entirely trust him with my lucious locks. After reading this sentence out loud I have been instructed to from hence forth refer to Richard as...Dick. Richard likes Dick.

It was great to see the family, although Pappa was away in Portugal on a business trip so didn't get to see him all weekend. It felt strange being home again, all I wanted to do was play music but alas, my instruments of creation were back at Guildfordshire....But then I remembered, I had a midi keyboard in my cupboard. Hooked it up to the old PC (which feels horrible after using a mac for so long) and then played piano for several hours which was nice :)

Natasha had decided to pop out up London on the night that I came home, how mean! It wasn't until roughly 1am that I got the green light to drive round to her house, crazy! Apparently I had a "book" that I needed to give her, that was our excuse for me popping over so late :) Had a lovely night and ended up getting home around the 7am mark...I felt sorry for her seeing as she had work all day!

Saturday I saw Dean. It was nice being able to drive my car again, Dad had put 1/2 a tank of petrol in for me so I thought I might as well use it...so that night me and Natasha drove over to her friends in East Ham. erghhhhhhh. Her mum was warning me about how dangerous the drivers are around that area, which I found out to be true, maniac immigrants. We played spot the white man on the drive there :)
Retard Couple. Blates.

Had an extremely funny night at Charlottes...I finally lost my shisha virginity, it was so tasty, apple flavoured tobacco :) Sitting out in the garden, a lovely night sky with candles, shisha, drinks and cigars....Heaven! We ordered chinese and chilled. It was grand.

How cool do i wana look? fuck me.

Sunday was FIZZLE DAY. Hadn't seen that Chink in agessss and was so good to see her. Picked her up from the station, she was all dressed in her work uniform, blesssss. She had the great priveledge of watching me get my hair cut, which according to Matthew and "DICK" looks no different :( Mum was pressuring Jazmin as to when she is going to come stay at the house, but as she works full time its hard she says...sad times.

I'd originally planned to leave Sunday afternoon back for Guildfordshire, but I was swayed by the oppertunity to help Natasha babysit her bro and sis. There family are too funny its true. we sat around the dinner table while Natasha made me my first ever bagel! Iv trained her well it seems, and since I have bought a pack of bagels. It was nice just to chill out with her and her brother, talking about how chavvy I used to be wearing my Nike tracksuits and gold sovering. Oh yeahhhh baby. We watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's"...Iv never seen the obsession that girls have over that women...and I still don't. Shite film. hahaha.

After a very painful train journey home this morning I made it to rehearsals for 10:30. I felt like shite to say the least. I was exhausted from the weekend but made an effort to make it to band rehearsal...DID THE SINGER?!?! NO. What a bitch. Annoyed me alot. x

Red/Amber/Green

RULES WERE SIMPLE:

Red = Taken
Amber/Yellow = Its Complicated
Green = "Single Pringle" according to Richard.

Poor Poor Richard...He'd been stuck indoors ALLLL weekend whilst I was gallivanting around Canterbury dressed as a dominatrix joker queen. I took pity on this fact and so I agreed to go out with him to the Surrey campus again. Whilst I didn't have alot of money I decided to put that behind me and be the best friend that I should be and show him a good night out.

Originally we planned to just pop over to Chancellor's or as I like to call it "Chandlers" and have a few drinks, make some friends then pop back. But alas! On the morning of Monday I found out that a special event was on..TRAFFIC LIGHT DISCO! (Cue childish cheers) What was even better was the fact that all proceeds went straight to charity....So in reality by going out not only was I helping one of my best friends, but I was ALSO helping charity, god im caring.

So there we were, me dressed in yellow (due to the fact I don't have a single piece of red clothing) and Richard dressed in green (bless) cruising it down to the Uni campus. IT WAS DEAD. So pissed off I was. NO1 was in the bar practically so we just sat around like a queer couple of the steps while Richard talked about how much he needed a dump, followed by a lonely drink in the bar while the same RHCP's song looped around 10x over. Eventually things picked up and yet again we found ourselves socialising and taking advantage of the cheap drinks. One man was shocked that neither of us knew what a snakebite was...then we heard him whispering to all his friends as if we were "stupid freshers"...what a prick.

Eventually we jammed it over to Rubix and partied on down really. Started to realise that there was a huge sense of awkwardness around all the people wearing green...you could imagine all the cheesy pick up lines and awkward conversations....

"Soooo....your wearing green? Single?"
"Err...yep."
"Cool, im wearing green too"
"Yep"

And so on. But yeah all in all was a really good night. Richard forgot his camera which pissed me off alot actually seeing as it was my main mission to break 1000 tags on facebook! I think I have around 20 tags to go now :) I WILL catch up with Dean. One thing I did learn about last night was that, if you wear sunglasses in a club, expect fucking annoying bitches to keep taking them. Seriously, do they think there COOL by taking my glasses? NO. I don't care if they were amazingly fit, one of whome was...after the 10th time of taking them it gets boring love yeah? I know its hard to believe love but I don't REALLY wana be spending my night chasing after you. GOD. Luckily they were all interveaned and my sunglasses survived for next time :)

Peace x

wHy sO SeRIoUS!?

FRIDAY:

This weeks LPW went really well...Phil Collins Easy Lover. The Drum Tutor said to me how he could finally see me coming out of my shell, im a shy guy, I always have been, but to hear him say that really gave me a confidence boost. Its horrible playing in front of so many musicians, but my band played really well and we had some good comments which was great.

Straight after ACM I made my way to the train station and jumped on a train back to good ol' Upminster. These train journeys are becoming a chore already, especially on the way back, as there aren't any fast trains back to Guildford. It was really nice to see the family, mum had missed me alot and it was weird seeing my room all clean and unused. Max was very excited to see me which was nice :) I was really excited about having a nice home cooked dinner for a change, but that didn't really work out seeing as the meal was pretty gross :S

I went out and picked up Natasha, it felt so weird driving! Was pretty dodgy as I drove through a red light on Hornchurch high street as well, that could of ended very badly. I must of been day dreaming or something. It was great to see Natasha and her family, her mum seems set on the idea that I can play the piano "beautifully" which is annoying seeing as I know the odd couple of things...so when she asks me to play I just make up some excuse...I think im guna have to get the keyboard out and learn some tunes haha.

Natasha was INSISTANT that we go allllll the way to Bluewater to go to the cinema, as Romford/Lakeside don't meet her standards. After getting through loads of traffic we got there pretty much trouble free. Did some shopping and just chilled out before we went to see "the Boy in Striped Pyjamas". VERY GOOD. Its another Nazi/Jew/Concentraction camp film but really hits home especially at the end! I recommend it to you guys. Was a bit annoying that there was a group of middle aged sluts sitting behind us laughing every 5 minutes. I have concluded that Natasha eats alot of popcorn, so in future a large bag will have to be purchased.

So we got lost on the way home...that wasn't very fun at all. What was supposed to be a simple drive from Bluewater to Romford ended up in a very stressful wrong turn going towards Dover! I hate driving, I really do. We got back to Natasha's around 12 ish and after cooking some AMAZING pasta we snuggled and watched Sex & the City...SHIIIIIIT. Natasha fell asleep so that shows how interested she was in the film! Another upsetting goodbye around the 3am mark.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY:

Feeling like crap from the late night before I got ready and again made my way to the train station. Todays destination, Canterbury. After a very stressful journey of replacement bus services and 3 hour journeys I finally got there, Im becoming a train expert it seems! Dean came and picked me up from the station, i'll try and ignore the fact that I was waiting at the station for over an hour though :) haha. Went back to his campus and met all his room mates, all of whome are very nice people I must say. Dean noticed that my muscles had grown which really made me happy...all mine and Richard's hard work was starting to pay off. Dean is blates scared of my muscles now.

HEROES AND VILLAINS party yayyyy. I'd been waiting all week for this and now the time had finally come. We made a wicked Stir Fry...I say we but it was mainly me I must admit. After some drinking I wacked on the makeup. I had become the Joker. I would like to add at this point that lipstick feels so weird and tastes gross, but I was very happy with the results...and it turns out I was the best looking Joker of the night, without a doubt! Dean looked so funny in his pink tights and yellow vest Superman/Freak combo. It looked like he didn't have a cock which Dean blames on the tights being "too saggy" yeahhhh okay mate.

Me & Dean got hammered on vodka/lemonade/cider/mickey finns and then made our way to the club. My memory from this point is rather hazey due to alcohol levels...But from what I can remember we spent 1/2 the night waiting for some bloody onion rings from the restaurant. Met some people from back home which was nice. Loads of people hadn't bothered to dress up which pissed me off, but the people who had looked great. Night was going really well until some prick pulled the fire alarm and the whole building had to be evacuated. There was so many people and it was all going so slow that we just went home! Very annoyed I was. Its gay cos we hardly got to dance at all...I can't even remember a single song of the night, how bad?! My looking at all the pictures I have concluded that I NEED to stop doing stupid gun poses in EVERY picture as seen below:

"Romford Raver" & The Joker

By this point my Joker makeup had suffered, so some of Dean's flatmates got my makeup off for me, which I am now very appreciative for :) Dean had "prepared" some Super Noodles which he then immediately dropped on the floor, smashing a plate...but did we care? Taking our forks we dived right in, well...up until I got a bit of plate in my mouth and started chewing on it, that was not very pleasant at all. SOMEONE DRANK MY BOTTLE OF VODKA...this annoyed me alot actually.

Dean took me to the station in the morning and I began my 3 hour journey home again. I was upset due to leaving my straightners back at Upminster but im sure I can live without for a week. Sucked saying bye to Dean but ill be seeing him next weekend so its alllllll good. Some black guy started harassing me at Waterloo station, he didn't know how to buy a ticket out of the machine so made me buy it for him! I should of got him the wrong ticket haha. My journey was made better with the presence of my iPhone...music, phone calls and facebook...what more could you ask for?

So now im home, after Richard lovingly met up with me at the station and walked me home. Uploading all the great pictures to Facebook. Iv finally put a clothes wash on, which was WELL overdue. I love being at Uni, you can wear a top and just put it back in the cupboard...I think iv got about 4 wears out of some. Think were just guna chill out and watch a movie tonight, with some spaghetti bolognaise..if the mince ever defrosts.

I couldn't find a knife. Why So Serious?

Peace x

Sick, Free Peace & The Travelling Hat.

Budweiser Sunglasses & The Travelling Hat

I decided to write this post again, as the original was very sloppy due to alcohol consumption and a dodgy kebab, erghhh. Iv always hated kebabs and now I hate them even more...its mainly the reason why im writing this at 5:20 in the morning. Most people sleep well after a night out, but not me it seems.

Tonight was the first and probably last freshers event to be out arranged by ACM. 2 venues and a shit load of bands playing, cheap drink and exclusive to ACM students. Originally I didn't plan to go, but after hearing everyone talking about how good it was going to be I was swayed, and on top of that the tickets were only £2...so why not?

The thing started at 7:30 which was a taaaaaad lame, drinking vodka red bulls back at the house at like 6:30 just seems pathetic for some reason...Rich was on the malibu and cranberry juice. I'm not guna lie...I AM A LIGHTWEIGHT, and I think Rich will join me on that as well? As 7 we were pretty hyper/tipsy...even much so that Richard was sick in the toilet a couple of times! haha was so funny! Was he put off going out though? HELL NO. I would like to make it clear that Richard blamed his sickness on "jumping around too much" rather than the alcohol itself, but I think differently ;)

So yeah, we made our way into town in the pissing rain and continued to take advantage of the cheap drinks (were talking £2 pints and mixers here!) The bands were great as expected...Me and Rich were very excited to see one band in particular "Free Peace". They feature on the ACM website and its become an obsession/joke between the two of us, singing the song randomly around the house. So you can imagine how excited we were when we saw the (fit) lead singer! Running up to her exclaiming my love for her music she laughed so much, she was either:

A) VERY VERY freaked out... OR
B) Very flattered and was genuinley shy about it.

I'm hoping it was the second of the two :) Loads of pictures were taking and we talked to quite a few ACM'ers...although its hard when bands are playing etc. Free Peace were great and she even dedicated their main song to Me ad Rich! "THIS GOES OUT TO STEVE & RICHARD" omgggg. hahaha. So yeah, we waked home and got a kebab. Typical.

This picture makes me laugh...ALOT.

I'm going to write a more personal entry soon, one about my general feelings on my life at the moment and the things in it that make me happy/sad/confused/chipmunk. Just incase you didn't know...The Travelling Hat has been to many destinations in the World, including Ibiza & Malia. The aim is simple...get as many pictures of the hat on different people as possible. This was the hat's first night out in Guildford and he enjoyed himself alot by looking at the pictures. He even made his way onto the Free Peace singers head at one point! Expect to hear about him in the future!

Free Peace @ Live Link

*UPDATE* omgggg omgggg I just remembered something from last night! While on the way to the Boileroom Me & Rich were completely lost so we went up to these random 2 girls and asked for directions...I immediately recognised one of them, my interviewer from French Connection! Haha. I used to work for them before I left for Uni so I had a transfer interview with the Guildford store...but didn't get it. I was like "OMG YOU DIDN'T GIVE ME A JOB" hahahaha she must of felt so awkward, ted @ her. I don't think she will be giving me a call anytime soon :) x

London Explored & Pointless Drinking

Gooooood day everyone :) Friday's Live Performance Workshop went really well this week, the bald man couldn't make any nasty comments which felt good. Had to play Walk This Way which was awsome, we also got put in our bands so we have to play with them each week from now on, everyone seemed really cool which is good...and I got one of the best singers :) Next Fridays song is a Phil Collins number so that should be good.

Friday night I went out with Natasha and all her dance friends. After a long journey into central london, jumping on many trains we finally met up..pretty lucky actually seeing as were both underground. We travelled over to Arsenal, went to her mates house and was greeted with cigarettes, wine and a fresh cooked dinner...result :)

After chilling out for a couple of hours we hopped on the train to Leicester Square. I was quite nervous/shy when I met her 15 odd friends...all of whome were dancers but they were so cool and friendly so I quickly let loose :) We all shot over to Cafe de Paris, a club in central and as it was one of the girls birthdays we all got in for free (instead of a £15 entry) which was awsome...and on top of that we also got VIP which I think made the night really seeing as we got nice comfy sofas and free drinks...there wasn't anywhere else to sit in the club so was awsome. Was such a nice club, expensive but nice. And as for the dancing...my moves were clearly better than ANY of those "professionals" :P

We practically stayed till close and then went to a Casino...why I don't know as we didn't actually bet any money...we met up with Natasha's mate again and got a cab back to her house in Arsenal. After a nice lay in me and Natasha said our goodbyes then went over to Hampstead to see where she used to live and get some lunch...we met her old room mate, she was really nice. We had a lovely walk through Hampstead which is a really nice area I might add, we went into an Italian cafe and had some ravioli :)

After a long mission getting home we took our seperate ways, as Natasha was off to visit dean in Canterbury and I was going back to jolly old Guildford...bit annoying that I bought a return ticket by accident...Natasha suggested punting it off when I got to Guildford but as if I could be bothered to do that...made it worse that I got on a slow train by accident so instead of no stops till Guildford I had a grueling hour train journey with several stops, gave me a chance to have a nap though.

That night we put on Lord of the Rings 2 - we decided that this weekend we should watch all three but due to getting stupidly drunk for no reason we only made it 1/4 way through before beer was spilled everywhere and we decided to give up. All in all a very good weekend but now im felling drained and tired and the house is a shit hole. Greeeaaaat. Lazy day today me thinks.

Peace x

Zane Lowe @ The Rubix

Had a fantastic night last night! Zane Lowe was DJing at the Surrey Uni Campus so we had to go. He played very gooooood music, mixed with the cheap student prices...can't complain! Met some people from back home and made some new friends as well...although I can't really call them friends mainly because I can't remember any of their names? gutted for them. We got free shades, which we wore all night mainly cos were cool. I wish Dean was there :(

Salmon, Pink Floyd & Bald Headed Pricks

I know I haven't done this for a couple of days, but to be honest there wasn't much to tell...So i left it till today and thought I would just summarise. ACM isn't really what I expected, I find myself bored in the lectures because I already know everything they have to say, and yet they promise that the lessons will "pick up" in a couple of weeks...

On Friday the whole of ACM has to get together and perform in small groups...we get a song that we have to learn and then they put us into a "band" where we then perform the song in front of everyone. I was so nervous it was unreal. Iv played in many concerts in front of large crowds but think of it this way...everyone in that room is a musician. If you fuck up, they know. And thats exactly what I did. i fucked up big, bringing the entire band to a halt. So this tutor strolls onto stage, bald bassist prick and says down the microphone "well that was shit wasn't it?" and that was it for me. I can't take criticism like that.

Since joining ACM they've had a big thing about making POSITIVE criticism's so that you don't "upset" anyone, being a musician its very easy to be hurt when you think your being creative and someone calls you shit. Iv been drumming for over 10 years and some guy thinks he can call me shit in front of an entire group of musicians. I mean im over it now but it was very hurtful at the time. I just hope next Friday goes better...

Mother and Pappa came to visit yesterday, mainly to check up on me I think. I shot out of bed at 9am to clean the entire house before they got here. what a rush. They brought Max as well which was great (my dog)...miss that fella. After they fucked off home a couple of hours later I got ready to meet Natasha. She was coming to visit after work. I must say...my cooking skills are shite, but I really excelled myself when I cooked salmon with holondaise sauce and rice for me and her...was tres buff. We watched "I Am Sam"..you know the film about the retard. We sipped Cavar and beer as we laughed and joked. After the film we shot over to the local park to chill and smoke a cigarette...we stayed there for all of....5 minutes? What a waste of time. We originally planned to go out on the town for dinner but that didn't happen. I don't wana go into to much detail on the night but I had a very good time and it was great to see her. Next Friday im going up London to a club with all her friends so that should be good.

Waking up at 1:30 is shiteeeee. After I had to wake up at 9am to take Natasha back to the station I came back and flopped back into bed. Feels like such a waste of a day. Now im just sitting here watching TV, as the washing piles up and the house gets shittier and shittier. So yeah, hopefully next week at ACM will be better.

Peace out x

Central Perk, Drumming & Disco

FIRST DAY went well. It wasn't really what I expected, in the sense that it was actually really easy!? Theres about 20 of us in our drum class...and the basic jist is as follows. The tutor picks a track....we learn the track and then we get together in our set bands and perform it every friday in front of the college....and what amazes me, the tutor said that THIS (Jimi Hendrix number) was the hardest song on the course! wtf. oh great. So in a way im ALREADY bored with the course....but I spose its early days so ill give it a chance =] We also rushed in at 9am (my lessons didn't start until 1:30) to book our private drum lessons as they go sooooo quick. Turns out instead of sitting around in Spoon's (now known as Central Perk due to its resemblance to Friends) for 5 hours, we could of just phoned up! typical.

DEAN IS HEREEEEEE. After waiting around for him to find the station exit for around 20 minutes we took the leisurely walk home and we all got stuck in to making dinner. On the menu - CHICKEN FAJITAS, and they were buff. Although the chicken was really rubbery so I guess we will be dead within the week. A couple of drinks later and we were ready to go out....so off we went into Guildfordshire.

MY GOD how long did the queue for Spoon's wanna be? fuuuuuck queuing that. Some random guy started tagging with us, he clearly had no friends. We told us to shoot over to HARPERS. free entry before 10, or £6 with a student ID ;) (poor Dean had to pay £10) WHAT A GOOD CLUB. Seriously it was so packed...turns out Guildford's big night out is a Monday. It was shockingly expensive (£16 for 2 WKD's and 2 Sambooka shots!!!) but it made up for itself with the beautiful people and amazing music. Although it was slightly annoying that MEN couldn't lay on the comfy sofa beds or dance on the podiums....WHY WHY WHY =[ Rich nearly suffered a broken spine at the hand of one of the bouncers...while the other one said to us "As soon as you get bigger tits than me...THEN you can lay on the sofa bed" ....well that isn't guna happen is it you fat cock.

So yeah, a WICKED night out...made up from Friday. Now im feeling tired and depressed as Dean is leaving to go home soon. Im so happy he came to visit. Actually love him. Let's hope my 2nd day at ACM will be a little more challenging....

Peace x

first night out in guildford. how shit.

What an awful night...well not that awful...i mean, it was fun...but still crap. you get me? induction went smoothly...met some cool people. although when i got home...turns out i'd missed my first lesson...didn't see it on the timetable! good start. Spag Bol was on the menu tonight, a beautiful trio performance in the kitchen I must say. MASTER CHEESE. private joke k?

We decided not to wash up, seeing as its Saturday tomorrow and we have all day :) I tell ya, my muscles are aching. Me and Rich...what a workout. LOL. Its pretty cool having our own workout station in the house, means whenever were bored we can do a few reps. you know? BEEF UP. lets face it, i need it. =[

So yeah, boring day tomorrow. I just want to start ACM now :( OH MY GOD...my student ID card is SOOO BAD. blonde hair. oh yeah. and we have this massive book to take us through the year, picture below. Also, we got a nice ACM drumstick back :) how cool are WE guna look? :) and im also pissed off that my student portal shit aint working! arghhh. better be 2mro. My timetable seems pretty decent, I don't have any free days but I like it. Theres loads of extra lessons I can go to...on friday...if I go to all my lessons and then extra lessons im there from 9am till 6pm! with only 1/2 hour break! jeeeeeez guna be tough...but I guess its worth it :)

Peace out x

arghhhh first day. well sort of.

Induction really....and to be honest i'm actually really nervous! I don't know what to expect or what sort of people i'm going to be mingling with. Gotta make our way into town for our 12:30 induction then its straight over to FCUK to give them my timetable and see if they will give me a job. I don't want a job but it has to be done really, funding the beer and expensive luxuries. Living away from home makes you realise all the stuff that you don't really need. Cakes, biscuits and other shit, its all like...."can I live without it?" most of the time with the answer being yes...I spose that's because I have to pay for it all!

I'll give you a nice update tonight with how my first day went. Im hoping I won't have to play at all in front of the other musicians, I need to asses who is good and who ain't before I start jamming around them. lol. Think were all going out tonight as well, well it has to be done doesn't it! :)

Peace x

Alllllllllright - First Night

So yeah, got to the house around 12ish today. Mum unpacked everything for which was nice. Considering now how im lounging around on the sofa while matt and rich unpack all there stuff...shame! Mum also stocked up my fridge with LOADS of food, 1/2 of which I probably won't it. Im trying to get into a new sort of diet where I try not to eat alot, save myself some money for the pub or whatever. We knocked next door, turns out theres 3 other guys who also go to the same University, 3rd years. They seemed really nice and we got invited to their house party in...NOVEMBER...but I guess its a start. I can tell there are going to be arguements in this house, certain things are starting to annoy me already, after not even a full day.

No washing has been done yet, im really not looking forward to doing it. erghhh. My room seems pretty cool tho! check the pic below. seems very roomey, we also have the "gym" set up in Rich's room so I guess we will be pumping iron 2mro at some point. Rich had his celebratory cigar, which I managed to get a few lugs off...seeing as I had pathetically thin "Vogue" fags, a present from Tash. lol. But I guess "at £6 a pack" i should be grateful! so thanks Tash. Not sure about the game plan 2mro...I guess a head into Town would be good, try and get our faces around! Okay.....back to Guitar Hero! x peace x

Here we go...

So i move out in roughly 9 hours now and its funny how I still haven't packed in the slightest. Time has been consumed with seeing my chums and going through those awkward goodbyes. I know I will see most of them within the next couple of weeks, whether they come to visit me at the house, or if I travel to see them, but its still upsetting. Its only really kicked in today and to be honest, it sucks major. Really makes you appreciate the people that you have around you you know?

I'll hopefully post a blog on how the move in went. It sucks that i'm now going to have to get up at like 8? just to get all my stuff together, its almost certain that i'll forget something horrifically important. I think the plan is to hit the local Whetherspoon's on the first night so it may be a late one. Father gave me £50 to "get me started" so lets see how far I can make it last! Chow. x

The Experience Begins - 10th September.

So here's the jist. On the 10th of September I will be moving from my home in Upminster to my new house in Guildford Surrey. It will be here that I will begin my three year course at The Academy of Contemporary Music studying for a BA Hons. in music performance. At this point in time im about 50/50 on the situation, while im excited about the situation obviously i'm going to miss alot of people and things back at home.

Music has been my life for around 10 years now, so the fact that I get to study it at University, and I get to study with people that share my passion is a great oppertunity. Its nice to know that my days will consist of playing Drums instead of learning English or Law for example. I hope to keep this blog updated on a daily basis, mainly as a memory for when im older, but to also keep my friends back at home updated on my experiences.
